The photo of John dancing was taken a year or so ago during Quito Days (early December) in downtown Quito. (I originally identified the location as Trinidad. ) John tells me that they did live in Trinidad for two years, but that neither photo was taken there.
He also taught at the International School in Manila from 1995-1999.
I imagine that many of us are in awe of John's life choices and of the spirit evident in these two photos...
